Talented actor, manly man, and good Toast Master – this is how people knew Dodo Abashidze, who was a fan of Georgian wine and feast. He liked to repeat the words of Ilia Chavchavadze: „Georgian wine is a true wine; it is divine“. Legends walked on the strength of his fist. The older generation of Tbilisi Vera District used to say, he would never start a fight himself, but if someone challenged him, no one would be able to handle him. During the filming of „Bashi Achuki,“ the adored actor of Georgians had a beard and once was partying with friends at an open restaurant near Vake Park. In the restaurant, four drunken „KGB” officers started making fun of Dodo and putting their hands on his beard. „It should not be like that“, – Dodo roared, jumped to his feet like a tiger, and beat all four „KGB“ officers in such a way that they barely snatched them from his hands. The next day, the whole Tbilisi was talking about Dodo.
